Riya
In that last couple of days I’ve been playing around with Riya.
It’s quite interesting, since it is one of the first computer vision apps I know that are deployed in the Internet. (Well, except our Cortina maybe ;)).
The face detection works really well (I wonder if it is based on Viola,Jones? anyone?) but recognition was not that exciting so far. In particular the interface to trainining is somewhat cumbersome, and most faces it knows so far in my collection are manually labeled by myself, i.e. correspond to the ground truth.
Another thing I was missing was a delete function, to remove certain pictures or folders from my collection. (just realised, its possible http://riya.wikispaces.com/Deleting+Photos
But overall its really quite cool.
